Wasn't sure why Sainz was put in Mclaren? Bit of a step back imo. But I hope gasly goes to Red Bull now :)
There's just simply kinda no space for him at a better team as of right now. And let's not forget Verstappen and Sainz weren't best friends so Red Bull didn't seem like an option really. You can only blame Ricciardo now for it really haha.

Yeah pretty much this. Not only were Sainz and Verstappen not on the greatest of terms but after racing with Renault and kinda of losing that motivation to stick within the Red Bull family I think this is his best choice. Mclaren are using Renault engines that he's used to by now and he gets a seat within a team that has a long rich history in the sport (even though recent years have been absolutely horrible.) and it works out for Mclaren as they still have a spanish driver in their team which will keep that market open since Alonso is leaving. Possibly even being able to mold the team around him (even better if they somehow get competitive).

McLaren seems to be on their way back, so they just need to get on the same R&D pace as Renault at least. And of course you don't know what's going to happen with Red Bull and Honda. Maybe it turns out McLaren will be the 3rd best team next year for instance. Although McLaren have stated more things sometimes...

With what’s left I think..
Gasly - Redbull
Stroll - Force India (dunno who’d leave)
Kimi stays at Ferrari
George Russell - Williams
Now I’m hoping my man Lando Norris can go to McLaren or maybe Toro Rosso!

Yeah could see it given how bad Sirotkin is

I wouldn’t say Sirotkin is bad he’s clearly a great driver to have made it to F1 but I believe if you put Hamilton or Vettel in that Williams they wouldn’t achieve much at all, the cars aero is the same as a Micra it just can’t compete in F1 properly😓

Tbh with Sirotkin, he is fast has hes proven in F2 and his quali peformances in that Williams but he is just so inconsistent and that what hurts him alot. He is way better than Stroll but he cant prove it

Behave Kubica is the real GOAT. Get him in $irotkins car and he will be 50 points ahead of Hamilton.

I agree with some of you, I see a lot of you are saying Ericsson, as much as a big sauber fan I am, I want him gone. (No offence to anyone) the only thing keeping him there is his money. Fair enough sauber are sometimes frequent mid-field runners, Ericsson has always been in a “back marker car” since the start of his F1 career. If he was wanted by other teams, he’d be there by now. I don’t hate the guy, just wish he would pick up the pace a little tbh. Sauber could’ve kept Nasr or Pascal tbh. Miss those 2 the most.

As for Sainz at McLaren, I cant see that going down well unless mclaren really do up their car performance for next year. People really hyped up mclaren this year with the Renault engine in the back of the car, plus with Renault doing well themselves, I thought points were possible, which obv they have achieved several occasions. Vandoorne deserves another shot next year, he hasn’t been having the best of luck, as does Hartley.

Also, with Sainz’s move to Mclaren, is this guy still on loan from red bull?
