Round 7 of the ILR1 championship on Xbox One seen us return to the Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian GP.

In qualifying it was Veloce Surprize who took pole position for Williams with VSR Simon in second and OMG Its Jo starting in third.

As the race got underway it was Veloce Surprize who held onto the lead through the opening corners with VSR Simon holding off the Ferrari of OMG Its Jo. Everyone had clean start on the opening lap.

Jorc94 was battling with the Toro Rosso of VRT Verstappen and the Mercedes of LCR Hayden and he made a nice move into turn one for P11. There was a battle for P8 with tR Dralex passing Meloni88 in sector one. A train began to form behind the Toro Rosso in P8 down to about P12 with drivers jostling for position. At the front Veloce Surprize didn't pull away from VSR Simon staying within a second for the first five laps with VSR Simon looking to at least be matching the pace of the Williams.

The rain started to fall on lap eight and OMG Its Jo was the first to pit and he opted to go straight onto the intermediate tires. Veloce Surprize was really struggling on the slick tired in these conditions with VSR Simon getting ever closer. Most of the drivers then pit for intermediate tires including the two leaders who just managed to emerge from the pit lane in front of OMG Its Jo who stopped a lap earlier.

Veloce Surprize managed to build a lead after the pit stops while EVR Reynolds managed to jump upto P4 ahead of VSR Moorso. At this stage of the race the drivers were just trying to manage the tricky conditions. Further down the order CAR Powerful, Meloni88 and VSR Holland were having a battle for P13 with them going three wide in sector two.

Veloce Limitless was catching up on to the back of the battle between Langman17 and VRT Verstappen while OMG Its Jo had a spin on the exit of turn two which allowed EVR Reynolds to close in on the final podium position.

Some started to make a second pit stop going on to another set of the intermediate tires such as EVR Reynolds and Veloce_Limitless while on lap 26 VSR Holland retired from the race after a crash in sector one. The leader Veloce Surprize pit handing VSR Simon the lead and OMG Its Jo also pit and emerged behind EVR Reynolds in the battle for P3. EVR Reynolds made a slight mistake on the exit of the final chicane on lap 27 which allowed OMG Its Jo to get the run and make the pass into turn one on the Sauber driver.

VSR Simon stayed out not pitting with five laps to go with the rain stopping and the track starting to dry out very quickly. OMG Its Jo, VSR Moorso, EVR Reynolds and Jorc94 all decided to stop for slicks while Veloce Surprize and race leader VSR Simon the also stopped for slicks as well with the strategy really working out well for VSR Simon. The battle for the final podium position between VSR Moorso and OMG Its Jo got very close in the closing stages with the Ferrari driver taking the position into the final chicane although then losing out due to time penalties.

In the end then it was VSR Simon who took the victory for McLaren with Veloce Surprize in second and VSR Moorso in third.
